The CSU Health Network is an OPR provider (Order, Prescribe and Refer) with Medicaid. We are not a full Medicaid provider as Medicaid would then require us to see non-student patients. As an OPR provider with Medicaid we can see you for many services.
At CSU Health Network, students with Health First Medicaid/ Colorado Medicaid can:
- Meet one-on-one with medical and psychiatry providers
- Access mental health services and support
- Receive lab testing
- Pick up prescriptions
- CSU Health Network pharmacy is contracted with Medicaid
CSU Health Network providers can refer you to outside Medicaid providers for additional services including:
- Physical Therapy
- Immunizations
- X-rays
- Dental services
- Optometry
- Procedures (stitches, IV fluids, IUDs/Nexplanon, injections, etc.)
CSU Health Network has a Referral Coordinator and a Health Insurance Specialist available to help you find a Medicaid provider in the community. They can be contacted by calling (970) 491-7121.

RamCare Supplement Program
If you enrolled in the RamCare Supplement program for this current semester, CSU Health Network is able to bill most services through RamCare where we would normally refer to an outside Medicaid provider. THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN UTILIZING COMMUNITY RESOURCES:
- Bring your insurance card and a form of identification with you.
- Keep in mind that some clinics may not be accepting new patients with Colorado Medicaid insurance.
- Once you have scheduled an appointment, contact the CSU Health Network Medical Records department at (970) 491-7121 to have your records transferred to your new healthcare provider.
