Mental Health Installments is meant to provide helpful information specific to supporting CSU student mental health and wellness. The resources mentioned were named by students in a survey. Students were asked what and who made a difference in their success when adjusting to CSU? What helped improve student wellbeing and where did students find connection? What helped students navigate difficult times?

Rec Center
Check out a class or a team sport at Campus Recreation. Campus Recreation offers a variety of classes and exercise equipment that are free to full-time students, including ALL yoga classes. Intramural Sports provides an opportunity to participate in team events at all levels and abilities! Learn more!

You@CSU contains so many resources to support all areas of your life. You includes assessments and will serve up various university and online resources. It even includes online therapy and educational workshops through Silver Cloud. Address your stress, boost your happiness, finds way to deal with depression and anxiety.
Academic Support with TILT Tutoring

Debunking Common Sleep Myths

Sleep is critical to our mental and physical health.
“Alcohol and cannabis helps me sleep.”
Cannabis and alcohol can help you fall asleep but negatively impacts your quality of sleep.

Sleep helps build our memories into long-term storage to recall what we studied.

Your sleep cycle resets every 24 hours. Consistency is key!
What to Know About Napping
How long matters:
- 10-20 minutes: Boosts energy
- 30 minutes: Groggy symptoms
- 60 mins: Still groggy but boosts memory
- 90 mins: Full sleep cycle
How You Go to Bed and Wake Up Matters
- Set out lunch or clothes the night before
- Think of an irresistible reason to wake up.
- Limit blue light from technology at night.
- Use an alarm clock instead of your phone.
- Get morning light every day to sync your circadian rhythm.
