Welcome!

Hello CSU Students,

Congratulations on joining the CSU community.

As you settle in, I hope you keep in mind the achievements and successes you have earned along the way.  No doubt you have put in a great deal of effort and time to get here.  You may also be bringing with you some uncertainties about the future.  Maybe this is a completely new place.  Maybe you are holding memories of some disappointments, and even heartaches, that have occurred along the way.

Please know that everyone – every single one of us – has times when it feels like things are going really right, and times when we feel stuck, not quite sure where we want to be.  Wherever you are today in your life, we aim to support you.  We want you to obtain care here that is meaningful for your body and mind, and to have the skills and knowledge to aid your personal wellbeing throughout your life.

Learning and growth shape our programs.  We aim to provide equitable access to all of our services.  We review and adapt our services with attention to promoting healthy choices, reducing harm to you, assuring a high quality of clinical care, and enhancing current practices in college health.  We look and listen for your feedback about how we are doing.

In addition to supporting your health and wellbeing, we can help you build skills in navigating through health insurance, accessing care and referrals, and understanding your patient rights and responsibilities.

We look forward to seeing you during your CSU journey.   Please take some time to check out Health Network services, campus activities, explore You@CSU, and pursue what wellness means to you.

You are welcome here.

Executive Director, CSU Health Network

About Me:

This is my twelfth year with on-campus student health services.  I began working in healthcare administration thirty years ago through Peace Corps.  Subsequent work experience includes clinical laboratory office management, public health program staffing, and university clinical and research administration.  My favorite thing about the CSU Health Network and CSU in general is the high value placed on belonging, teamwork, integrity and equity.  I speak French, Sango, and Spanish (my most fluent Spanish being:  Lo siento mi español es tan malo).
Education and training: Miami University of Ohio (BA – International Studies), Tulane University (MBA – health economics),  additional training in healthcare risk management, ICS emergency response, and TESOL-certified instruction.
Personal interests include: exploring new places, the local live music scene, cards and trivia games.
