Christina Berg, MPH

Education & Training

I have been the Director of Health Education and Prevention Services at the CSU Health Network since September 2010, and prior to CSU, the Director of Wellness at Boise State University. I have a passion for fostering systems to support health and well-being, with most of my career devoted to the building of college health promotion department and worksite well-being programs and teams. I find meaning in helping develop and moving forward a vision in support of student thriving in partnership. This process can involve campus health assessment, priority identification, infrastructure and budget development, in collaboration with campus and community stakeholders, as well as creating and supporting teams in developing, implementing and evaluating evidence-based, inclusive initiatives in support of student success. I tend to work from a holistic, foundational understanding and application of the public health model of prevention, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion and its impact on individual and population health. I also have the privilege of mentoring students, in relation to their CSU health and well-being related positions and/or professional pursues, in my role.

I enjoy outdoor adventures, travel, yoga, good conversation and a laugh, music and exploring the latest research and wisdom related to holistic health and well-being.
