Home Graduate Student Training

Welcome

Welcome to the CSU Health Network  and our graduate student training programs. Our staff have trained graduate students in mental health disciplines since the early 1970s. We believe that supervised practical training plays an essential role in the development of new professionals - we're excited to be a part of that development!

We provide training to more than thirty graduate students from diverse disciplines each year. Our predoctoral internship in psychology has been accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1973, and we select psychology interns through the national match. Our masters level interns in social work and counseling come from CSU and other regional institutions. Advanced Practicum placements are open to students from nearby universities, and our beginning psychology practicum students come from CSU's doctoral program in Counseling Psychology. Students from the University's Student Affairs in Higher Education program may work with Health Promotions, Communications, or the Drugs, Alcohol and You (DAY) Programs. Our CSU Graduate Student Assistants are typically doctoral students with advanced standing or students with special expertise in outreach.

Information about our training programs and the application process is found on the following pages. Our orientation begins August 1st before the fall semester begins.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. We appreciate your interest in our graduate training programs and look forward to receiving your application!

Sincerely,

Susan MacQuiddy, Ph.D.
