Student Organizations
The CSU Health Network offers students several ways to get involved in health and wellness on the CSU campus. Any of the following organizations are open to all interested students. For more information you can visit their individual web sites or stop by the Health Promotions department in the basement of Hartshorn.

SHAC

Every full-time CSU student pays the university health fee every semester. SHAC is your opportunity as a student to have some say into what happens with this money. It is also a chance to provide Harthshorn with a student perspective.
The Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is the official student board whose members represent the student body at large in the Hartshorn Health Service, on the Student Fee Review Board, and within the student government. For more information visit the SHAC web site.
CREWS

CREWS stands for Creating Respect Educating Wellness for/by Students. The CREWS organization selects and trains students to become peer educators. Once students are trained they give presentations and run campaigns that support health and wellness amongst the students or CSU. CREWS offers students a way to get involved and create new relationships while promoting healthy lifestyles. For more information visit the CREWS web site.
BOLT

Based On Life Theatre (BOLT) is a peer theater group addressing many of today’s vital issues. It is designed to take a message of responsibility and awareness to college students. The group presents in classrooms, residence halls, Greek houses, conferences and public venues.

Walk 4 Wellness is a student competition that runs for seven weeks each semester. Students sign up online and then receive a pedometer which they wear around, they use the website to keep track of the number of steps they walk as well as any other exercise they do each day. Students compete in teams or as individuals and at the end of the competition prizes are awarded based on most improved. The program is $5 for students simply visit the Walk 4 Wellness web site to find out more and sign up.
